Briefly about me
I'm a 21 years argentinian. I'm a software/hardware/electronics enthusiast. I like learning new things every day and I'm obsessive about discovering how things are made.
About my study
I started my studies at Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in 2008. It is a technical degree. Currently I'm doing the final work (which I expect to finish on April or May of this year).
My interests
OO dynamic languages, teaching OOP, web applications, testing practices.
My non-Smalltalk experiences so far
At the University I've learned languages such as Java, Haskell, Python or C. I've learned languages by myself too (Ruby, Javascript). Now at work I'm doing visualizations and ETL processes for BI projects.
My Smalltalk experiences so far
We use Smalltalk (VisualWorks and Pharo) in an OOP introductory course at the University, in which I'm teacher assistant since 2009. As a final work for my studies, I'm developing a BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) tool for Pharo.
Why am I interested in Smalltalk?
Because of the very nice community (with lot of experience and knowledge), and because I can implement my ideas easily in a environment which is very comfortable.
Will I stay with Smalltalk after the project is finished?
I'll never leave Smalltalk :)
